Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

Not Another Friend Sweeper (the browser extension and this website) is built to keep your friends list on your own computer. This policy explains exactly what the extension reads, where it goes, and what this website stores about your account.

What the extension reads and stores in your browser

  • Your Facebook friends: names, profile links, numeric profile ids, profile photo links, friendship dates and "recently added" order.
  • Engagement on your own posts: which friends reacted or commented, the post ids and post dates. Not message content, and not other people's posts.
  • Your own profile link, so your own activity isn't counted as a friend's.
  • Your settings, scan schedule, and the protected/removed status of each friend.

Most of this is information about your friends, not about you. It is processed only to show you your own friends list and engagement, and is never shared, sold or used for anything else.

Where that data goes

  • It is stored locally in your browser's extension storage.
  • It is synced between your own browsers through the browser's built-in sync — with Chrome via your Google account, with Edge via your Microsoft account if extension sync is on. That sync is run by Google or Microsoft under their own privacy policies. Raw per-post engagement events and profile photos are not synced.
  • None of your friend or engagement data is sent to us. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no selling or sharing of data, including for advertising, credit or lending purposes.
  • CSV export (Pro) writes a file to your own computer only when you click Export.

What this website stores about your account

An account is required to use the extension. For it we store:

  • Your email address and, if you add one, a display name.
  • Your plan and subscription status (from our payment processor).
  • A count of how many friends you removed each month, used to enforce the free plan's monthly allowance — just the number, never who.
  • Any support messages you send us.

The extension sends your sign-in token to this website to check your plan and to report the number of removals. Nothing about your friends is included in those requests.

Your Facebook login

The extension never asks for, sees or stores your Facebook password. It works inside your existing logged-in Facebook tab, reusing the request parameters that tab already has, only to make requests to facebook.com. Those parameters stay in the tab's memory; they are never saved or sent anywhere else.

Third parties

Payments are processed by Stripe; sign-in with Google is handled by Google. Each has its own privacy policy. We never see your full card number.

Keeping and deleting data

Friend data stays until you delete it. Delete all friend data (dashboard → Settings & safety) erases it from this browser and every synced browser. Uninstalling removes local data — use Delete all friend data first so the synced copy is cleared too.

To delete your account and its records on our side, email support@notanotherfriendsweeper.com from the address on the account.

Limited Use

Not Another Friend Sweeper's use of information is limited to providing its user-facing features, and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

The product is not directed at children under 13. You must be old enough to hold a Facebook account (13+, or older where your local law requires).

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and significant changes are announced on the changelog page. Questions: support@notanotherfriendsweeper.com.
